There is something I don't understand,
Boxcryptor say they are a zero knowledge intermediate but I can retrieve my private key from the website what do I miss here?
Also I never had to enter anything more than my boxcryptor user/password to get it installed on my devices...
Please can you explain more?

Your private key is encrypted with your password, and your password is never sent in clear text to our servers. Please have a look at our technical documentation (https://www.boxcryptor.com/en/technical-overview/) for more details on this.

I have read the link above ... What data do you store under Etcetera? (Etc.) This could be ANYTHING ...

The "Etc." refers to the "small amount of information" which is required to provide our service (e.g. sending you emails in the correct language or showing you when a device was last active). As of today this information is in detail:

Marketing source (e.g. if the user signed up from a specific marketing campaign)
Application source (in which Boxcryptor application did the user sign up)
Newsletter
Creation date
Last updated dateDevice:
Name
Anonymous hardware id
IP address (excluding the last octet)

List of members with status (e.g. owner or member)
