I was using BC Classic with a OneDrive account. I upgraded to BC2 using the directions on the web site. I created an account and installed BC2. I then transferred my files from the classic drive to the BC2 drive. I told the software to encrypt the entire folder. Although it encrypted all the files, if I right click a file and select unencrypt, the encryption icon disappears and the file seems to unencrypt. But when I try to open the file, it behaves as though encrypted. When I move the file outside the BC2 drive it does not automatically unencrypt, either.
Can't decrypt files after upgrading to BC2(2 posts) (2 voices)
As far as I know you cannot simply transfer encrypted files from BC Classic directly to BC2. There is only one way to transfer such encrypted files to BC2 in two steps: 1) decryption of each BC1-crypted file on your computer using your old BC classic, and 2) then to newly encrypt each of these open files by means of BC2.Posted 1 month ago #
